Bob Kinder's Bio:

A retired military officer with over 20 years of service in both the U.S. Air Force and Army special operations communities, he has led some of our Nation’s most elite counter-terrorism forces during combat operations in Panama, Iraq, and Afghanistan.  Bob is Managing Director at G2 Capital Advisors, a mid-market investment bank in Boston, where he leads the Aerospace, Defense & Security Practice Group with a focus on the aerospace, special operations, intelligence, security and cyber- security industries. His specialties include financing, executing complex transactions, turnaround, strategic planning & execution, executive coaching and leadership development. Before joining G2 Capital Advisors, Bob served as a senior advisor in business and security consulting firms. As a Director for The McChrystal Group, he coached the Executive Vice President for Hewlett-Packard’s $15B Personal and Printing Systems Division in Europe, Middle East, and Africa, to assist him in forging a cohesive team to drive business growth across multiple product lines and 59 countries.  As the President for U.S. Operations with the security-consulting firm Drop Test International (DTI), Bob created joint ventures and alliances to lead the company’s business development effort resulting in first year revenues growing from $500k to over $15M. He co-authored a proposal to successfully capture a prestigious $250M contract from the seven-year incumbent.  As the architect of General Stanley McChrystal’s $72M Counterinsurgency Advisory and Assistance Team (CAAT) program, Bob conceptualized, developed, and directed the activities for the 50-person element that enabled the commander to transform a 130,000+ multi-national organization into a highly effective team.   General McChrystal acknowledged Bob’s enormous contribution to President Obama’s strategic effort in Afghanistan by writing, “The focus and energy you’ve brought to the CAAT have been the key factor in mobilizing ourselves towards getting this effort right.” Mr. Kinder’s articles have been published in newspapers and journals nationwide to include: the Boston Globe, New York Daily News, Atlantic, and the Harvard Kennedy School Review. A gifted speaker, he is a regular guest of radio and TV stations across the country and is relied upon to provide expert commentary on America’s most critical security issues, as well as address current leadership challenges. Bob is a member of ASIS (International), the preeminent organization for security professionals, with more than 38,000 members worldwide. He is also an NRA certified pistol instructor.  Mr. Kinder holds a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Masters in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
